Missing Marissa

The body laid still as the blood dripped from the bed, down to the floor. No one knew of the death late in the night, or the last dying wish of one, Taylor Malone. The fearless police officer that had risked his life to save the lives of others every day had chosen that night to end his own.

The question remains why did the handsome masculine man decide to leave the world that he had helped so hard to improve. No one will ever know unless they had lived the life he lived, nights of loneliness, and drunken night sweats as he woke up trying to reach for the one love of his life, Marissa McKee. The young beautiful woman he married, promising his undying love as they exchanged vows died two years after being married and now he was going to join his beloved.

Taylor Malone now would join her as the blood dripped from the bed, down to the floor. He stared at his lifeless body and realized in horror that he was still in the room. His soul had not moved on but remained in the house that he had lovingly shared with Marissa.

Taylor swirled above the bed and knew that he had made a big mistake because now he was trapped still alone and missing Marissa.

Oh, how tragic. I hope God will forgive and let him be with his beloved. I understand how horrible the pain can be when one is seperated from the one they love so much. It can make for such an empty existance. Your poem is so striking. It almost makes a grown man cry.

    good

This is a good story, yet quite rushed. I think that it is very nicely written, though. You just have to describe some more events that could have caused the man to be so miserable. But, it was a good peice.
