The Captain - Poem

He set sight upon a star, 1

waiting for the mist to rise, 2

looking at the ships afar,3

planning a bloody strike.4

The vessel was quiet and dark6

nothing could be seen aboard7

not even a dim candle or light8

only still shadows on board.9

10

When the moon was overshadowed11

by the thick clouds and the fog12

the daring captain then shouted13

“Men, attack!” “Let’s get the gold!”.14

The crew excited assaulted16

experienced pirates they were17

the sailors soon surrendered18

fighting back they wouldn’t dare19
