The Holiday

The days were getting longer and a dark cloud had descended upon the city. As Lilly looked out the window she had a deep unsettling feelinf of sadness. "I must get away from this black weather, for it's making my mood black", she whispered to herself. Lilly ran to her bedroom a sense of excitement rising inside of her. She threw an old suitcase on the bed with such force it bounced. Clothes, lipstick, rouge, hats, jewelery all thrown in in quick succession. A sense of achievment arose when she had finished. "Yes" she said, "not long now 'till I'll be in a land of exotic and foreign climes".
Two days later Lilly found herself on a ship about to depart. She spent the following days on deck sunning herself, and in the evenings sipping champagn whilst doing the charlston. When the ship docked the excitement was pumping through Lilly's veins. As she stepped off the ship she gaxed around. "This is it" she thought, "the hustling, bustling city of Casablanca" and it did not dissapoint.
