Close enough to a fairytale

Myst sat with Drake’s hand in hers. The sun was just below the tree line and the sky was a multitude of pinks and golds. This is almost perfect thought Myst, me sitting here with him in his car, hand in hand, the sun rise right in front of us. There was only one problem Drake was only hers for the few hours when no one was around.1

With a sigh she turned to Drake half asleep, thought’s mixing in her head. With everything else on her mind, her words slipped from her mouth, “Tell me that you love me,”2

Drake’s smile faded as he looked into Myst’s green eyes, “We both know the truth to that and I won’t lie to you because your heart has been hurt enough,”3

A single crystal tear clung to Myst’s cheek. Drake leaned over and kissed her, “I’m sorry,”4

Myst shook her head with a forced laugh, “Don’t be, I’m just cursed. For some infernal reason I happen to fall in love with guys I can’t have,”5

The next few moments were dreadfully and painfully silent. Myst leaned back against the seat, blinking as another tear slid down her face, and fell into her lap. Drake looked at her with caring eyes, “What’s wrong dear?”6

Simply Myst shook her head, “Nothing, Hun, nothing at all, because as of right now everything is as close to perfect as it’s going to get,”7

“What do you mean?”8

“This is as close to having you as I’m going to get,” Myst said with a sigh. “So this is as close to perfect as I’m gonna get,”9

Again silence filled the car, Myst’s mind swirled more and more over everything that was going on, and slowly she closed her eyes. She could feel Drake looking at her, but neither of them said a word. Drake’s hand was now lying on her leg running along the inside seam of her pants. As she opened her eyes Myst sighed, “You really need to find a girlfriend,”10

Drake raised his eyebrow, “Why?”11

“You see if you get a girl,” Myst sighed as she closed her eyes. “Then maybe I’ll get over you,”12

“I don’t want a girlfriend,”13

At that point Myst felt tears well up behind her eyes even though she wasn’t sure why. She knew all to well that even if he had agreed to getting a girl it wouldn’t have been her. Quickly she looked away until she was sure her tears were hidden, “You're going to fall for someone someday, and that girl won’t hurt you. She’ll prove we aren’t all the same. No matter who it is, I’m gonna hate the bitch, but I’ll be happy for you,”14

“Well, it aint going to happen, because I don't want a girl! I don’t trust anyone. Okay?”15

Anger flared in Myst’s eyes for a split second before it disappeared, “Not every girl is going to hurt you, I promise we’re not all the same.”16

Neither of them said anything and then Myst leaned over pecked Drake on the lips, “I’m getting really tired and hungry, so no offense I think you need to take me home,”17

Drake nodded turn the key, and music filled the car. Myst watched as Drake pulled onto the road and whispered, “This is close enough to perfect, for me,”

I liked this... I can feel an air of mystery around it somehow (like you said in your author's notes) because the ending kind of tops it off a little... just perfect.
There was a few errors in here with spelling and punctuation but one that stuck out heaps was when you said "involve" instead of "in love" .... im pretty sure thats what u meant anyway.
keep up the good work... awesome write!
