Theo pressed a few buttons on the P.P.C.D.The P.P.C.D let out a small almost nozzle shaped button with a hole. It was black and was made of the same material almost metal like glass upon the shudder which reflected the dim lights of the Time-corp. Theo pressed the button and in a few seconds the nozzle let out a line of red light.The as of on command the Lazar line split in to five infer-red lines which scanned Theo's features From top to bottom the side to side with out much of a protest or a waste of time. The lines traced and graphed his body,took in his measurements,and inputted what was soon to be his attire for our trip through time. It calculated the data and the button on top of the nozzle opened up to reveal another smaller button. Theo Pressed it and dusty gears in the watch like device turned and clicked to life. Slowly the back of the nozzle that was facing me was slowly turning; turning and clicking like the outdated device it was. Soon the back was facing Theo and another shudder flung to life and opened it eye for all to see. Its Cycloptic eye looked into Theo and then with no more then a flash of red light new clothes replaced Theo's government regulated uniform. I watched skeptically as I knew I would be.I knew full well I would have to follow and proceed to do the same thing shortly afterwords. Theo's attire looked form fitting and showed off a certain dignity and pride that at first glace at Theo's other goverement regulated uniforms made Theo seem weaker and some how more sniveling then ever thought possible. A Dark frock coat in navy or black suited him up, underneath the coat a vest of some sort allowed the contrasting under shirt of white, the vest and the coat as acceptable as the colors of velvet red and gold. He was complete except for his cohort; me. I too want for the transformation so that I may not look like a weed caught up in a flower garden. My hair was put up as much as possible and I was ready eager even to set forth to 1856, Belgium.
The portal swirled behind us as we steeped into the vastness of this unfamiliar landscape. The land around us was nothing that my eyes encountered before hand. I stared in awe as country spread before us, unhindered by skyscrapers that were able to block out the unnatural light of the dome's built in radiation converter. The man we were looking for was here some were. Far beyond the vastness and cold of the fields, trees and snow. In a town or bungalow were he is kept safe. Safe...I lingered upon the word when Theo started walking. His P.P.C.D had a natural compass that allowed us to use magnetic field to open portals up and we started walking to the east and I still lingered and thought about the word. Though what did it mean any more. Knowing how the world will crumble before us in a nuclear holocost there is no such thing,no such thing.
