"Cherry blossoms are beautiful this time of year." the guy at the Plant Galore store told me. I was looking around at different plant stores for varies of plants and trees to plant in my yard. I had just gotten married a couple of months ago and Jeff and i bought a house together. So now we wanted to decorate our dirt yard.
"I don't know." My voice drifted off a bit. The man who was trying to convince me was a crooked smile and yellow teeth. He had a dirt covered checkered shirt on and jeans that were ripped at the knees.
"Look, this plant will change your life!" He glared at me. "I promise you!" He laughed a creepy, high pitched laugh.
I finally agreed just to get him to leave me alone. I picked up the small tree and slowly carried it to the register. The man stopped me. He told me the plant was for free and that I should just go home and plant it now. I thought it was strange for him to say, but I did really just want to get home.
"Whatever," I muttered to myself and walked out to my car. I turned up my radio to my favorite station, 181.1 it played all types of music from France. I took the ten minute ride to my house, thinking of how I could explain to Jeff about this odd guy.
