Queen of Diamonds

The Queen of Hearts is overrated.
She'll love you, that is true,
But once the loving's over
You'll not know what to do.
She'll only take one thing,
But that one thing is your heart.
And once she's finally broken it
You won't know where to start.
The Queen of Diamonds, however,
Will only take your wealth.
All she needs is money
In sickness and in health.
Your heart will never break
If you hold her in your hand.
A royal flush is in your future,
And with no emotional demand.
So forget the songs that tell you
To draw the Queen of Hearts.
Because without the Queen of Diamonds,
The game never really starts

    Very good write....but it isn't true....the queen of diamonds does break hearts as well....i know this better then most

    wow i definitely love the style and rhyming sense you pictured into this poem. I loved the opening, its what drew me in, in the first place. I liked especially how you wrote about the two traits of both queens. and the part about the royal flush. very nice touch

    Hmm.. the queen of hearts IS overrated and haha, I read somewhere that the French call the Queen of Diamonds Rachel... which is my name, and EVEN BEFORE knowing that, I've always been drawn to that card

    I love your integration of Royal Flush here, and YES, I'd rather have my money stolen than my heart irrepairably broken I agree with you so much
