Young, Wishful Thinking (Ch.1)

Sirens blared loudly outside her window, waking her up just as the fist peeks of dawn approached. Rubbing her eyes, Destiny quickly, but quietly, got out of bed and tip-toed down the stairs to welcome the new day.

As she walked on, still being as quiet as a mouse, the proximity between her and the outside world would soon fade and come to an end; the daydreams would become reality. As she continued towards the door, she heard a sound that seemed to come out of nowhere. She stood as still as a statue, waiting. She felt something furry on her leg, the sound returned. She looked down only to find her tiny kitten happily purring against her leg. Smiling to herself, she gently picked up the furry ball of sunshine and stroked his fur, still proceeding to the door.

Six months had past since she had last been outside... Outside. A world that was new to her. Her body trembled with the thought of venturing out, into the unknown.
