Stepping out of the shower the following morning, Raven found herself, for once, feeling content in the home of Sarina, the lady from the night before, and her daughter Chastity.
Wrapping the towel around her still semi wet body and stepping from the bathroom, Raven found herself greeted outside the door by Chastity whom also ended up following her to the room she was staying in.
"Why is your skin so pale?" the child seemed to ask from out of the blue in noticing Raven's deathly pale completion. which rivaled that of the color of hand lotion. "For someone who travels as much as you, I thought you'd be awful tan."
"My skin is naturally pale. It cannot change." she answered silently as she removed her towel to dry her hair, small droplets of water trickling down her back over what appeared at first to be scratches, but at a closer look turned out to be whip marks. Before letting the question of the origin of the marks slip from her lips, Chastity remained silent in remembrance of Raven's lack of willingness to communicate to others.
By time Sarina passed by Raven's room and peeked in at them, Chastity was was sitting at the foot of Raven's bed, who was sitting at the head of the bed in naught but semi-baggy sweatpants and a black bra, as she polished her katanas.
"Chastity, let our guest alone, please. She needs time to herself." Sarina called to her, trying not to overcrowded Raven with the girl's presence.
"She was fine..." Raven murmured silently as Chastity left the room to head to her own, though she shrugged it off. She sheathed her katana and went on with polishing the other.
"You seem quite comfortable here," Sarina said finally after a short but awkward silence in attempt to make conversation and noticing Raven's lack of clothing.
"It simply feels nice to feel some air now and again," she answered without averting her gaze from her katana.
Sarina nodded slightly and walked out of the room somewhat slowly in hopes Raven would say something to stop her - she didn't. How is this woman the fabled Raven of the women's revolution, she thought to herself.
"'Raven' is said to be a ruthless killer of men and a spawn of 'Satan'," came a voice from behind her. When she turned around, Raven was standing there, no emotion in her face but anger in her eyes.
"The order 'God' set for this world will be undone because of her sacrilage,' Raven continued with lack of tone or expression. "However not all are as people say. I may be the bringer of the revolution for womankind's freedom and I may be a ruthless killer of males whom cross the path of myself and other innocent women; however such does not mean I have not a soul nor my own enjoyments. It is suggested you remember that even the most ruthless, demanding, powerful, and sadistic have their own pleasures..." Raven gave one final glare before returning to her room, leaving Sarina shocked, startled, and overall speechless as a tear slipped silently down her cheek.
