Jael's eyes were fiery as she stepped into the empty street.
Her lithe body was clothed in the azure colour of her eyes, a colour that now brought anger to the eyes of her enemies and fear to the eyes of those few who had survived her wrath. Her fingernails were painted in the same shade and were filed into razorsharp edges, a feature most did not discover until she'd gotten too close.
"I want to rule Dreamstate. Does no one oppose me?" she said under her breath.
"I oppose you," a voice thundered from the black, bloody sky.
Instantly the street was filled with demons, all with dead eyes lusting for her warm blood. They came towards her slowly, but she knew it was a ploy. They were not zombies, but clever, fast moving demons.
"Playthings, Zazel," Jael breathed as she crouched, her black hair becoming totally blue as her katana appeared in her hand. She'd mastered the simpler talents during her first few eternities in Dreamstate. In a few more, she'd mastered the art of her weaponry.
She launched herself through the air, leaping over several of the advancing demons as her steel whistled through the air, beheading those who came within range. Within minutes, all of her opponents were deaded and decapitated to prevent them from reincarnating.
"Come now Zazel, let's be adults," Jael laughed as she stood, her blue hair sinking to a darker shade of midnight blue.
A monstrous broadsword came swooping down and passed through Jael's neck. Her head snapped to one side and her eyes became unfocused for a few moments before she slowly rolled her head and smiled at the dark sky.
A heart-stopping roar ripped through the air and Jael laughed once more.
"I am still a dreamer, though barely. You, on the other hand Zazel, you can be killed in our little world, can't you? If you abdicate now, I might be slightly more lenient on you."
"I'll kill you dreamer. I can control more than you know of."
With those words, Jael found herself immersed in black as thick as water and as dead as the moon. He'd thrown her out of the dream, she realized with a smile, but he still couldn't throw her from the Dreamstate.
"I'm coming for you Zazel," she sang quietly as she began creating another portal.
