Chapter 22- Mrs. Rivers’s Perspective1
A young man named Jimmy Richards has asked Dianna to the prom. I feel a little awkward because I barely know him. Dianna insists he’s a nice boy but he’s in a rock band, and for reason I associate drinking with rock bands. Dianna has agreed to bring him by after school and introduce me to him. Maybe once I meet him I’ll feel a little less awkward about her going to the prom with him. I just worry that she’ll get taken advantage of by boys that are older than her. Maybe meeting him will relieve at least some of my fears. 2

IS there a Mr. Rivers? I can't remember her daddy being mentioned...I feel you need to make this come off as her thoughts, and let the reader know that, or have her talking to Diannas daddy or a friend....just a thought...
