Dear Martin,
What you saw was not what you assume, and perhaps you really do think I cheated on you. I truly feel many sorrows on your behalf, because love and the sexual affections that come with it cannot be contained within the relations of only one man, on the female side of it. I claimed that our sex relationship was great, but really I was tired of it. I pretended to say it was great because I didn’t want you to be upset.
David was showing me tiles and wallpaper samples, and then he asked if perhaps I could kiss him, but only once. So I kissed him, and only that one time. But then he started to get physical, and you know how I cannot resist the physical actions of sex! Then we had sex, and slept together. It was only until you came home that I forgot we fell asleep.
Martin, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you had to see me in bed with another man. I’m sorry that you are hurt, but my feelings for one man are not going to be contained within the Kingdom of Marriage. Please forgive me, but you must know that whatever actions I commit within sexual actions, those affections for that man are limited, and perhaps that is a sign that maybe our own marriage bed should be ‘spiced up’ a little bit.
Your feelings for me are things that I do not understand. I do understand, however, the signs of a rough marriage. Please understand, and understand that the same missionary over and over again is not what I call fun!

Another interesting take on the situation, and I must say that I like how everybody has a different reason or excuse for the ladies behaviour. It spices things up nicely!
This was a good letter. I like how the person managed to almost turn it round on the man, making it sound almost as if he is in the wrong. Its a good angle to have taken.
