Burning Star: Chapter 2

Scene 2: Blueheaven

It would be another few hours before the Highwind reached the docks at the famed hangout for outlaws. For Hilda this place seemed to spark something within her...although she didn't know what nor could she remember why this place seemed so familiar. All she knew was that she'd probably be staying there a while, no way was she staying on a trade ship. Once the ship docked the crew along with Hilda went into the port meeting with Swanzo and Mikey.

"Hey swanzo how ya doing we made it back just in time to." The captain said shaking hands with the robotic like being.

"I see that, looks like you guys have been in quite a few battles." He said looking back at the crew as he did a double take as his eyes landed upon Hilda.

"Hilda that you?" He asked surprised. "I thought you were long gone." He added looking her over.

"If that is Hilda she don't remember anything about herself, looks like she got a bad case of amnesia." the captain said.

Swanzo blinked some beneath his metal shell. Hilda? Amnesia? What the hell was going on here? The cherry head had told him that Hilda had died out in Pharphallas, but he was sure he was looking at Hilda. Come to think of it, the cherry head Gene Starwind was around with his crew maybe he could explain things, because he sure as hell was confused.

"Something interesting about me?" Hilda asked wondering why the robot-thing was staring at her so intently.

"Huh." Swanzo said being snapped back to his senses. "No you just remind me of someone...thanks guys we'll get your ship repaired, you guys go have fun." Swanzo said as the crew walked off.

Hilda frowned some following after stopping at the sight of a red grappler ship. Where had she seen that before, it frustrated her, these feelings she got about things that were familiar or seemed familiar but she couldn't remember or even put things together because of it. This place, Blueheaven, this huge red ship, herself, she couldn't remember any of it.

"Its a beauty ain't it. The XGP-1505 dubbed the Outlaw Star, it belongs to a young kid and his crew." He said.

"Your swanzo right?" Hilda asked looking at him.

"Yep that's me, that's Mikey over there working on the engines...and who might you be?" He asked.

Hilda looked away and then back up at the Outlaw Star. That was the second time someone had asked her that, she wished she knew the answer to it. Who was she? What was she? Outlaw? Pirate? Part of the space federation? She didn't know. Although she was familiar with the three powers of space, she wasn't sure which side she fell on.

"I..don't know...I don't remember...All I remember is waking up on that ship and then, that's all." She said.

Swanzo frowned some feeling sorry for one of the few Outlaw women that he could actually call friend. To see her like this made his heart break.

"Hey let me show you something maybe it'll jog your memory a bit." He said taking her to another ship as Hilda stared at the ship that was once hers.

"But this..." she said trailing off.

"Yep this is Horus, kept him up to date and all patched up and ready to go for ya, I didn't feel right letting him go to the scrap yard." He said.

"Is this ship mine?" She asked frowning.

"Yep all yours come on i'll take you aboard." He said as Hilda nodded as the two walked onto Horus.
