I Miss You

"I miss you," You say. "I miss you I miss you I miss you" Is practically all you ever say to me anymore. Well, is it really me that you miss? Because, well, I'm still here, just like I always was. But you... you're the one thats changed.

You're the one that's being missed.

I was here before you found me, and now, I am still here even though you seem to have forgotten me. So, maybe in some twisted chain reaction, is it really the old you that you miss? When someone changes, the way people act towards these people change as well, and vice versa of course. You practically used to be my best friend- you'd tell me about every problem or concern, and I'd help you out with it, no matter how sticky the situation may have been. But now you dont tell me your secrets, you dont tell me the truth. You, "Lie, lie, lie, and when that doesn't work, deny, deny, deny." And I think that that is just so sad. Cant you see? Unless you stop lying and denying, you're still going to miss me... But then another thing is, you're not trying to get me back, either. You're just saying you miss me and not doing anything about it. Maybe you dont miss me at all. MAYBE, you're just trying to make a big DRAMA out of it all. I mean, it would make sense, SEEING AS YOU JUST CRAVE TEENAGE ANGST ATTENTION AND DRAMA ALL OF THE TIME. LORD KNOWS that you try to turn EVERY SINGLE relationship that you're in into a BIG HUGE TRAGIC ROMANCE. Maybe you're just telling me you miss me in a LAST DITCH ATTEMPT to get a little more tragedy out of it. Or, maybe the whole I MISS YOU thing IS the tragedy part, but I'm not reacting to it, so you're saying it OVER AND OVER AND OVER... AND OVER.

But, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe every single sentence, word, syllable, and letter in this entire peice of writing is zip, zilch, nothing, nada. A big void. Zero.

But you never know.

And so, I raise my glass to you- a cup of coffee actually- and I say, good luck! Make the most of it!

And now, after all this ranting, raving, and theorizing, I have only one thing left to say.

I miss you, too.

I hate it when good people--friends that you thought would always be there--change into someone they're not. It's so hard to watch them go down a path that you can't (or won't) follow.

The last line summed up every bit of pent-up emotion you released during this rant. It showed that, despite how angry, hurt, and ultimately upset you were, you still cared. A lot.

I hope everything worked out for you, one way or another.

    This is really sad

This is really sad. I mean when people change, it leaves a void. I think everyone knows personally how that feels. It's like... you see the person, know it's them, and know the real person is gone forever. It's the worst feeling, and I think it's worse than losing a loved one to death. It's like a shadow of the person you knew a lingering memory. Anyway great work with this. Different style, very good execution and emotional content.

You know what, Sam? You are right.. that sometimes, a person keeps repeating I MISS YOU.. over and over that it becomes... empty. The meaning is lost. Perhaps, that's why I love you is so hard to say. I love this.. this feels so much like a letter. Which is why it holds so much RAW emotion.

You know... "I'll always be there" is a lie.
Because if it were always said in truth, why did "I miss you" come to be so famous?

you.. I love this. I love you, my gdaughter Thanks for sharing this with us
