'My dear do you love me?, 1
and is it true?2
If I dared ask, would you3
Say you love me too?'4
5
'My dear young darling,6
Yes, I would.7
I if I tried, I could8
Not stop at all my darling.'9
'Monsieur, mon amour vrai,10
is not our love cast out by11
the beauty of this day?'12
13
'Perhaps the imagination14
controls the mind and 15
percieves more when16
it is shadowed by love,17
not the sun.' 18
19
'My dear do you love me?, 20
and is it true?21
If I dared ask, would you22
Say you love me too?'23
24
'My dear young darling,25
Yes, I would.26
I if I tried, I could27
Not stop at all my darling.'28

This is a great written poem and a pleasure to read this for you.
One thing I wonder though is why all the large spaces between each line?

What does the line: "'Monsieur, mon amour vrai," mean? I think this is a simple and sweet poem, keep on writing!
