Love's First Flight

As I sit on the edge of the grassy cliff,
Anger burns by the setting sun,
You think my life is peaceful, as if,
As everyone tells their daily taunts, no fun,
Leaves rustle in the soft wind by the lonely tree,
Echoing through the breeze; the sound of leaves crunching,
I turn round, startled to see you stood beside me,
Nerves crush me like the waves of the sea below, crashing,
It also gives me dignity, a sense of freedom,
I stand, you hold me, I lose myself in your comfort,
The chilly winds begin to hum,
It is true that love can be binded and wrought,
And then you kiss me, a strange sensation flows through me,
Thoughts logged itself into my mind,
Was it of love or of a fantasy?
And all this time with answers I try to find,
Strengh flows through me, shivers up my spine,
Wings grow from my shoulders, spread out wide, feathers adorn,
You gave me freedom and true love, life has never been so fine,
As we soar through the sky of dusk, a new life born.
