She found Angel back in her room. She was sitting on the windowsill cleaning her face. “Catch your morning meal already?” Siren asked.
“Yes, thank you, I did.”
Siren jumped and brought her hand to her throat. “I forgot you can talk to me now.”
“I could always talk to you but I chose not to until now. Did you tell the Captain about the Trolls?” Siren shook her head. After a pause she spoke again, “You know you must go with the Captain.”
Siren leaned up against the door and crossed her arms. “And why is that?”
Angel twitched her ears, “Because he will need you.”
“And why would he need me?”
“Because of your ability to enchant.”
Siren crossed over to the bed as she thought about what Angel had said. She plop down on the bed and pulled the pillow to her chest. “He’ll never agree. And who’s to say I’d want to go? If it’s dangerous I don’t want to go.”
Angel yawned and stretched in the morning light. “Do you not care for him?”
“That is not a question I feel comfortable answering. If I were to agree to go, how would I convince him I am needed?” Suddenly the prospect of going sounded appealing to her. To spend a few days with him and to learn more about him.
“That would be up to you.” Angel lay down and promptly went to sleep ending to discussion.
“Well you rotten beast.” Siren fingered her necklace. She threw her head back on her bed still clutching the pillow to her chest. Her hair fanning out across the blanket.
Siren stared at the ceiling watching the sunlight reflect off her necklace. She moved it around while she wondered how she would convince Crispin to take her and Angel with him. She picked her foot up and nudged Angel.
Angel stretched her front paws out and yawned. “What?” she asked rudely.
“Tell me about the meeting last night?”
“Did you dream last night?”
Siren sat up, startled, “yes.”
“Then remember your dream.” She yawned again and buried her head under her paws.
She remembered it being dark and all she could see were boots. She heard voices raised in anger. Of chairs scraping back, swords being drawn and angry voices. She turned her head and studied her surroundings. The table she was under was square with six chairs around it. The floor under her paws was hardwood and worn in places. Her paws?! She reached out to see them better. They were Angel’s orange and white colors.
“I was Angel.” Siren looked at her cat. Angel’s ears twitched as a fly tried to land on one. Relaxing Siren closed her eyes. Voices started to become recognizable. She could make out Crispins and her uncles, but the other were strangers.
“Angel, Angel wake up!”
Angel raised her head, whiskers twitching.
“They’re going to find a talisman in the Mists. What was my uncle doing there?”
Annoyed Angel replied, “Why don’t you ask him yourself?”
“I don’t want him to know I’m here.” She explained.
“He will know when you go on the quest.”
“Your right. Another question dear Angel.” Siren sat up and ran her fingers through Angel’s coat. “Crispin mentioned that you were at this meeting.”
“I thought perhaps he would have forgotten.” She purred thoughtfully.
Siren went on. “And I dreamed I was there, as you. Angel what does that mean?”
Angel answered with more purring.
“Angel?”
The purring stopped, “what, what?”
“I dreamed I was you and I was at the meeting. Why?”
“Let me explain. I am no ordinary feline. I can project my thoughts to the person who loves me most, that would be you, and I can also pass on scenes to your dreams.”
“You can spy for me.”
“If you must put it that way, yes.” Angel answered disgusted.
“Are there more like you?” Siren asked, still petting her fur. Angel seemed to answer more questions this way.
“Yes.”
“Why did you attend that meeting?”
“Because I needed to know if the rumors were true.”
“What rumors?”
“Do you always ask so many questions?”
“Do you always answer a question with a question?”
Angel leaped off the window frame with annoyance. “I’ve heard whispers in the night about Treemen and Dragon Legions. Of war.”
“Oh that,” Siren dismissed the last statement with a wave of her hand. “There are always rumors of war.”
“Last night the rumors were made real by your uncle.”
Siren stared at Angel with wide eyes. “I must find uncle.” She said at once grabbing her cloak. Angel followed behind her.
“Go to the town market place. They’ll be gathering supplies by now.”

A-ha! I see what you've done with Angel. I like this cat! Very well done. There are a lot of punctuation errors in this piece...revision will fix that.
Nice job...NOW, I can read Ch. 7. This is going to be very good.
