A Perfect Day

I woke up to birds singing, the sound of a soft breeze sifting through the hunt green leaves of the giant, and thick tree's. I layed in bed for a minute and stared up at the bright pink ceiling of my room. I could tell this was going to be a great day.

As I walked downstairs I could smell pancakes and syrup waiting for me. The smell of crispy fried bacon filled the air with such a delightful scent, that I practicly floated to the table.

I sat down and my mother put a plate of food in front of me. My mouth watered, and I bit into the crunchy bacon and flew up into heaven. The pancakes were coated in syrup, and I was in the land of milk and honey.

It was a saturday, the best day in my point of view. This was the day I played, and skipped, and ran around. I alway's loved saturdays. I alway's will. Although it was only nine in the morning, I got dressed and went out.

I walked out side and smelled the rain from the night before. The smell of rain was enough to make me happy. How I wish It would rain again.

In Shady Oaks you didn't have to worry about gangs, and robber's. You didn't even have to worry a bout going out after dark! Shady Oaks was one of the best places anyone could live.

I went to the open feilds in the country side only a mile from my house. The sweet smell of the soft, wet grass, seeped into my soul, making me sing inside, as beautiful as an angels choir.

I skipped off to the tall hills overlooking everything. I felt like the queen of the world, sitting on her mile high thrown. People below me in Shady Oaks walked around, some smiling, others talking and laughing.

I lied down on the smooth grass, and stared up at the passing clouds. This day was perfect and there was no way it could turn bad. I tried to keep my eyes open, but I couldn't. I was asleep.

My dreams were even better! I dreamed that I was flying high, and bursting through the clouds. I landed on Venus, only there was life. An entire colony was there! All the people were cheerful and beautiful as ever.

I woke up with a smile on my face. I got up and saw a setting sun. Blue's, purple's, and red's streaked the sky. As the sun slowly went down, i started the long walk home. This was the perfect day I was hoping for.

  • I love saturdays too! You must write poems - I loved how you described the food and the grass and everything.

Okay, I'm guessing that either this is the journal of a young girl, or that something extremely terrible is going to happen in the next part to counteract all the good things here......lol

There were some areas that could use some work. For those, just run the story through your word proccessor's spell check program.
