“Yes, we are bored.” Terry replied and continued his statement, “Today all of us got into trouble for playing a prank on the dorm sweeper and yes, it was one of my brilliant ideas and that is why I am known as “Cha-prankster,” the master of creating chaos and playing pranks. Boredom has once again inspired me and I have an idea for a perfect prank, “Hey guys! I have an idea!” I exclaimed in an excited tone. 2
‘Are you friggin’ nuts? This is the last time I am listening to your crazy ideas,’ Tom shouted.” 3
“Ah... Mr. Thomas Sadew, I met him outside, nice man,” added the officer, “sugar?” 4
“Huh?” Terry reacted. 5
“Sugar. How much sugar does you like in your coffee?” asked officer Kraos. 6
“Oh. One please,” Terry replied. 7
“Cream?” 8
“Eh. Please.” 9
Officer Kraos brought Terry a cup of coffee and a chocolate donut, “I think we need a break. What do you think?” 10
Terry shrugged, “Thank you.” 11
The officer placed the cup of coffee and donut in front of Terry. He advanced his hand towards the tape recorder and pause it. Then clapped his hands together and cheerfully said, “Well, go on. Eat. You need your strength.” 12
“You are very kind officer,” Terry smiled at him and took a sip of coffee. 13
There was pin drop silence between officer Kraos and Terry for next 5 minutes. Then officer Kraos gently spoke to Terry, “So, how are you feeling now?” 14
“Much better, thank you,” Terry replied with a smile. Terry’s tired look slightly faded as he regained his state of mind. 15
“Let me turn on the tape recorder and we can continue our conversation,” the officer told Terry in a friendly tone as he pushed the record button on the tape recorder. “We were talking about Tom when we left our conversation,” he looked up at Terry. 16
“Tom is a very caring guy and has always been. He’s ever green but I can’t say that about his hair but his personality stays the same,” Terry smiled. 17
The officer laughed and said “McGeven, you have a good sense of humor.” 18
“What can I say it runs in the family,” Terry replied gleefully. 19
“So, what was that perfect prank you had in mind,” questioned the officer as he leaned forward on the table. 20
“Well, I was planning to scare Emma and her room mate but the guys never listened to my plan,” Terry answered and took a bite of the chocolate donut. 21
“Okay.” After a brief thought the officer looked at Terry and sat up straight, “when and how did you meet Miss Conner?” 22
“I met her through Emma on the night of the big storm,” Terry replied. 23
“Terry, can you give me all the details like earlier?” asked officer Kraos. 24
“Er-” Terry gave the officer a puzzled look like he had no idea what details he had given to the officer. Then after a brief pause, “I will try if you can remind me where I stopped.” 25
“You were at the part where Mr. Sadew rebelled to your plan;” answered officer Kraos. 26
“Like I said, the guys didn’t want to hear my plan out. Scott was upset at me because he missed his date; and it was entirely my fault. But, my other plan was only a scare on our common friend, Emma. I tried really hard to convince them. After a while, I almost succeeded in convincing them but then there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and it was Emma shinning a flashlight in my eyes with some new girl.”27
