A/N: Yay last chapter of Lullaby before I go into my second fic Song of solitude which is a continuation of this fic that happens a few years after Kira is born.
12:45 am on the morning of November 5, my first contraction would come, I myself at the time was trying to get some rest before the birth, but with the constant kicking Kira seemed to be doing I only managed an hour or two before the first contraction came. Nothing to bad at first,something like light cramps nothing much so I just ignored them and assumed trying to get more sleep. Kira finally settled down around one in the morning and I was able to get some sleep in between the little pains I had. I had slept probably till about near noon, by that time the pains had grown, not intensely mind you but enough for me to be lightly moaning.
Evidently Haruka must have heard me moaning, being she was the first to check up on me. She too looked like she had woken up not to long ago, her and Michiru had been out the night before I believe and probably got in late, Michiru herself was probably down at the pool having her mid day swim. Another contraction soon hit, and this one was quite painful and took me by surprise as I held my stomach moaning as Haruka ran over.
"Setsuna...Setsuna hey, what's wrong? The baby coming?" She said putting a hand against my back and rubbing it.
"Mmm...yeah...it won't be for a very long while though." I moaned laying back against my mound of pillows.
Haruka nodded some leaving and coming back with a few towels and a bowl of water with a cloth in it as she wrung the cloth out and placed it on my forehead. Hotaru had woken up as well and soon came into the room and over to my bed breathing through the pain.
"Setsuna-mama what's wrong?" Hotaru asked deeply worried her large purple eyes showing deep concern for me.
I couldn't help but smile a bit as I gently stroked her head. "Akira is going to be born soon.." I said as a slight moan escaped my lips.
"When did the pains start?" Haruka asked getting rubbing my shoulder to comfort me.
"Mmm...about 12 hours ago." I said looking at the clock. I had already slept through most of my labor....go figure. I'd have to called Rei and Ami in a few minutes or so to let them know I was going to have my baby.
Rei was going to give my son his blessing after his Birth and much to my disapproval the others had decided it would be best if Ami delivered my baby. I believe I had said this before I decided to give Birth at home because, 1. I hated hospitals, why? I don't know myself I just hated them. 2. I didn't feel like having a bunch of doctors plus my family all crowded around me all telling to push and the like, and 3. It was my child and I had every right to decide where I wanted to have him at.
Someone had asked me why not a birthing Center. See reason three and there wasn't a birthing center around for miles where we lived...out in the boonies, not like out near the sea boonies, but far enough away so that no one could find our house and we would be left alone. A deep sigh would escape my lips as my contraction slowly melted away and I tried to recover at least a bit of my strength as I slowly stood with Haruka's help and walked around the house some.
Michiru walked in probably around four near five o clock, I can't really remember seeing as how I was going through a rather painful contraction at the time. My bed provided me no comfort so I settled for our large couch, soft, comfortable not to mention it was leather so all the blood that came with giving birth would just wipe off. I leaned against Haruka as painful scream escaped from my mouth as I squeezed Haruka's hand moaning some as I buried my face in her shirt.
"Your doing wonderful Setsuna, it'll be gone soon I promise." Haruka had said rubbing my shoulder and my belly a bit to help with the pain.
"Easy for you to say Haruka your going to be pushing a baby out of your body." I growled biting back another scream.
"Michiru call Ami and Rei tell them to come quickly." Haruka called as I breathed some.
I saw Michiru go into the kitchen later on as I panted from the pain surging through my body. Lord in hell this hurt. On top of that I was starting to feel sick again, from what I read it was normal to have bouts of vomiting and whatnot.
"You ok?" Haruka asked?
I shook my head some turning on my side. "I feel sick." I moaned as Haruka brought a bucket over.
"That'll pass." She said rubbing my back as the juice and water I had eariler that didn't set well with my stomach wound up in the bucket as I panted.
"Ami and Rei said they'd be here soon. You alright?" Michiru asked pushing my hair back as Haruka lightly placed a cloth against my forehead again.
"No more juice, just ice." I mumbled.
"Has she been sick like this much?" Michiru asked looking up at Haruka.
"This...nnn is only the second time. She only had a few cups of juice in her system." Haruka said and winced at the apparent pain her hand was going through.
"You want anything Setsuna?" Michiru asked gently stroking my head.
"A blanket I'm a little cold." I said relaxing a bit.
Ami and Rei would arrive that night around 9:00, by that time my body was so racked with pain it was painful to even move.
"Just get him out!" I shouted wincing some trying to find even a slight comfortable position to be in, which seemed to be a lost cause now.
"Oh my seems like your ready to push huh?" Ami asked.
I could only nod in response, the pain along with the lack of sleep and lack of food was starting to get to me, so I figured nodding would suffice. Ami nodded back and smiled a bit feeling my stomach.
"Let's have a baby then shall we?" She asked as Michiru went to get a few things and came back as I was pushing. two long hours of pushing and quite a few curses later I heard both my screams of pain and then the cries of my little baby as Ami held him up to me as I looked at my little Akira smiling some as I fell against Haruka panting some as Ami smiled and cleaned him off as she wrapped him in a baby Blanket and handed him to me.
"Akira...my little Akira, welcome to the world." I said softly crying as I held him close and nuzzled him.
"See that wasn't so bad now was it?" Michiru asked as I glanced at her and gave her my you go through this and see how it feels look as Haruka laughed some an Akira whined a bit.
"Awww I know Kira, I know." I said softly unbuttoning my shirt as I let him have his first meal.
A/N: Whooo done finally I'm off to bed now it me a whole hour to type this chapter up I hope you guys enjoy it.
