In our own little world
We do what we want
No one can stop us
No one is around
But here in reality
We are far apart
Talking to each other
Wishing distance away
And in the world that we both have created
There is no such thing as distance
Nothing keeping us apart
No criticism to come our way
Population of only two
No more is needed
You and I, hand in hand
Together for all eternity

Wow, I loved this. I agree, of all the things you can shape the world into...shaping it to fit two lovers would be the best. I felt myself become a little sad through this...for true love can cause you to think that you are in your own world where nothing can stop you but it isn't that way all the time. That's what made this poem so wonderful, though, I could wander through the possibilities, feel sad and yet, happy. Very good! Good luck in the contest and thank you so much for entering!
