In a world of Demons, Angels....and Love: Serena and Jason. Chapter: 5

Serena huffed as she swung open her door and flung her bag and keys on the couch. She was sorry about the rude manner in which she left Monica's house, without even saying good-bye. But that was the last thing on her mind right now. Surely Monica could understand.

Right now the main thing on her mind was avenging Cayley's death. Killing Jason. Serena was so furious she was almost seeing red, the only thing that stopped her from bawling her eyes out. She had never felt so much hate, such a strong urge for vengeance, to kill, even as an angel she had never felt something quite close to this.

She walked over to the curtains in frustration, only to see a pair of familiar extremely dark eyes staring back at her.

She took a deep breath as she slowly backed away from the window. 'Calm yourself Serena', she said to herself, 'just compose yourself for now, you'll soon get what you want, you'll soon have him dead.'

"You've got some nerve showing up in here Jason", She said staring icily at him.

"I take it you read the papers?", He said as he stepped into her apartment and perched on her window.

"Yes", Her voice was cold and expressionless, "Yes I did."

Jason gave her a puzzled look as he squinted at her, "You're taking it rather differently than I expected."

She gave a cold, piercing laugh. "Let me guess, you were expecting me to throw myself at you, ranting like a screaming baby as I did last time?", He said nothing. "No I have something else in mind"

Jason didn't like the sound of her voice. He didn't like it at all.

"Look its not like I didn't warn you, but Serena-"

"Yes you did, I know you did, but I never thought-", Her voice trailed off. She took a deep breath. She was determined not to let her emotions show.

"Serena.."

"Jason you remember that person you murdered to avenge your friend's death, the person the elders wouldn't punish?"

He lowered his head and sighed, he knew were this was going and he didn't like it.

"I let you go ahead with it, even though I could've stopped you, but you can bet your as* that won't happen again."

He shot her a look, "Is that a threat?"

"I don't know, what'd you think?” She smiled coldly at him. "All I can say is, enjoy your days as a wretched demon, cuz they're definitely numbered."

That was it. She hit the spot.

"Alright, that's ENOUGH!” Jason exclaimed so suddenly, his demon side came out a little. Serena jumped back. "Listen, its not like you weren't warned, you were." His voice was now angry and defensive. "And besides, whatcha gonna do? Its not like you have any powers". He stepped close to her. " If I were you I'd let this pass and consider that proposal...because there's still much worse to come."

Serena stared up at him. Her angry eyes starting to water. She wanted to strike him dead right there.

He looked at her. "Take it easy." He said almost teasingly as he backed out of her apartment. "Angel." He was gone.

Serena stared angrily after him now shaking all over as anger boiled inside her. "You're a dead man.", Her voice was hoarse and shaky as she looked at the wand which was given to her by the light force. The wand, which she could use to contact them, anytime she needed to. "Trust me Jason. You’re definitely a dead man."
