Rita James had definately never been so excited before in her life.
She couldn't ever remember having taken a man home upon first meeting him and she'd certainly never seen clothes drop so fast. Quite an achievement, she thought.
And no matter how many times she thought about it and no matter how many times she considered she'd had older and more experianced men, she couldn't get over how... just how good it felt with Stranger.
But he wasn't really Stranger. You don't go on calling someone by their last name after sleeping with them. His name was Felix.
Felix Stranger. What a mystical name.
Rita yawned and stretched, then presently curled up like a cat. Opening her eyes slowly and carefully, blinking rather a lot as her eyes adjusted to the daylight and she took in a few features of the room, she risked a sniff.
As she suspected. The smell of something frying - Felix hadn't left because his shoes were neatly by the door with hers. He must have tidied too, because whilst his were gone and presumably being worn, hers were folded on a chair. Scowling, Rita climbed out and pulled her clothing on and stumbled in the direction of the kitchen.
Felix had probably gone out and bought bacon. Men, always so inconsiderate - she had no sausages or bacon or ham or anything, so they just assume she's out of meat they don't assume or even think to ask if she's a -
'I noticed you were a vegetarian,' Felix announced as Rita entered.
She stared in disbelief.
'But by the looks of it you're okay with eggs, right?' He indicated the scrambled eggs in one frying pan. 'I thought... fried bread and vegetarian burgers with scrambled eggs on top.'
'Yeah... um...' Rita wiped her eyes blearily. Not so inconsiderate then. 'I haven't any vegetarian burgers though, have I?'
'I went out and bought some.' Felix smiled at her. 'Good morning.'
Rita let out a weak chuckle. 'Morning. It smells... pretty delicious.' She approached the counter and peeked over into Felix's cooking. 'You've even put herbs in the eggs. And pepper. It's like you've known me for years.'
'Well,' Felix shrugged as he served up the fried bread, then flipped the burgers onto it followed by the scrambled egg. 'I just noticed that there were plenty of herbs around the top of the herb pot and the pepper too, and pepper and herb grains on the egg-shells when I was taking them out so it seemed logical enough, don't you think. Ketchup?'
Baffled, Rita just nodded as if she had caught and understood everything Felix had just rattled off. 'Ketchup. All over, please.'
Felix made a noise of adknowledgement and then spun around to reveal the meals. 'Breakfast is served. Or lunch, however, considering it's just gone one minute past and would you like a drink?'
'Water, please. You shouldn't be doing all this, Felix,' Rita said as she sat down and began to eat, relishing the delicious taste of the food. 'Mm, this is really good. Handsome and you cook. Maybe I should keep you.'
She smiled at Felix, who was returning with his own food and glasses of water for the pair of them. She met eyes with him and immediantly wrenched away to eat - not only that, but he actually appeared hopeful. At what? That she might actually keep him?
Rita just ate her food and drank her water. Afterwards there was barely time for her cigarette - Felix was busy tearing the clothes from her body for another heavy, gorgeous, sweaty, dirty but satisfying round.
