Hey, I'm Caroline, a 20 year old University student from Chicago, IL. I currently go to school in lovely South Florida, where I am studying marine biology. I have a deep love and respect for the ocean and the creatures in it. One of the coolest experiences of my life occurred Spring Semester 2009, when I had the honor of rehabilitating a dolphin. Because he was pretty healthy(though unskilled, so unable to get food), all I actually had to do was stand in the water with him for an hour in the dark of night. It was a memorable experience, let me tell you, and a good one to lead into future rehabilitation experiences.
My writing is varied. Poetry used to be an expression of my inner feelings at times when I couldn't express it aloud. I've been here for five years, through three years of high school, so you can imagine how those turned out
These days I'm more focused on writing novels or short stories. My poetry these days is either a silly poem written for no good reason, or an expression of my passion for the ocean.
My prose writing has many different forms. I've enjoyed writing fanfiction pieces in the past few months, because it allowed me to get creative feedback on my writing style, without posting something that I'm hoping to get published online. My work tends to head in a romantic direction, unfortunately, but I'm currently working on a long term project that is Criminal/Mystery/Romance/Action novel in nature. I had a good half of the book before I decided it would be better told in third person than first (good grief!). Other stories I enjoy writing have my younger cousins as the main protagonists. This is immensely fun for me, and for my cousins as well!
I suppose this is where I'll leave you. Feel free to add me as your friend or leave a comment!

a novel about a secret government agency, called ADEPT, focusing on the growth of the sixteen year old girl who was genetically engineered to be the very best ADEPT agent ever, and the hardships she faces in that position.
It will hopefully be the first in several ADEPT Universe novels.
I have several short stories that fall within the ADEPT Universe, which will be added to possible sequels, listed as follows in chronological order.

Meg Cabot is freaking hilarious. I picked up "Size 12 Is Not Fat" last night, because I've already read "Size 14 Isn't Fat Either", which is the second of three books, and I loved that so much that I went straight to Borders after work and picked up the third. I don't know how much I like reading books out of orderJune 30, 200 words. → Make first comment?

Those two book series were amazing. They ended well, I'll add because I know I was complaining about them before, though people died, which is both sad and yet realistic in an action story. I'm hoping for another series along the lines of Percy Jackson, although the next trilogy by the Mortal Instruments author isJune 23, In Book review. 200 words. → Make first comment?

Warning! Spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Mortal Instruments Trilogy (and apparently, Shadow is forced to add halfway into her journal writing, her own novel Becoming Calypso. Don't know if that's allowed, technically. Hmm) 1 Bored, not wanting to do anything in particular.June 15, 1,100 words. → Make first comment?

As you prob already know, Dolphins are social creatures and your presence was prob the gentle nudge he needed.
Your degree sounds like the start of an amazing career.
