Rsheafer

I'm trying to figure out how to write in an effective post-modernist style. All of my stories are going to suck until I do figure it out. Feel free to tell me so.

Examples of authors whose styles I reeeeally admire:

Stories:
Donald Barthelme
David Eggers
Chuck Palahniuk
Kurt Vonnegut

Poetry:
Sylvia Plath
Bukowski

    Hi rsheafer;

    My Username is x-FallenAngel-x and everyone on the site simply calls me Becca. I would like to welcome you to the StoryWrite web site. Our site is a community of people who all share a common desire to write, in some form or another, and to hopefully become a published author sometime in the future.

    I would also like to take this time to let you know about the new members group on the site. This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens on the site. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group

    Along with a new members group we have a New Members Contest that is held every month. Come and check it out. http://storywrite.com/contest/2139

    It is recommended that all new members to the site give serious consideration to joining a writing group as a method of assisting them in becoming an active member of the site. It is a place to make new friends and get helpful critiques.
