My name is Robert. I am 41 years old and lived most of my life in Texas. I live in Southern New Jersey with my girlfriend Heather. I work in Philadelphia in technology sales. My non-writing are martial arts, hiking, reading and poorly done photography. Heather and I have a pug and a schnauzer. I have a degree in BA in business.

I am an avid reader preferring non-fiction to fiction. I mostly read books on sociology, political science, biology and philosophy. I read on average about one book every two weeks and have had that habit since I was in my mid-20's.

In addition I have about 30 pen pals on the net at any one time. I tried to write people who I had little in common with and whom did not live near me. In correspondence with them I write about 50 emails per month.

To give a socio-political flavor I can say that I typically vote democrat. I am pro-gun control. I have mixed opinions on the death penalty which are contingent upon the environment that the penalty is pursued upon. I am an atheist. I speak German at I think, about a 6th or 7th grade level. I don't smoke and I drink very very lightly. I exercise almost daily and I spend a lot of time outdoors when the weather favors outdoor activity.

On my writing I wrote a lot of poetry when I was younger but not much now. I wrote some narratives which I posted on here. I have 1/2 a play completed. I wish I could write prose more proficiently than I can do currently. I need to work more on personification and anthropomorphizing objects as well as creating analogies that can be expressed in a single paragraph.
