Hi! I'm Emily
I don't write a lot of happy stuff, so consider this your warning. I also hardly write much at all anymore. So don't get too attached. I have more poems than I do stories. You can find my better ones on AllPoetry.
I tend to start writing stories and then never finish them. I'm trying to stop doing that, but it's difficult. I get writer's block a lot. The only time I tend to finish what I start is when it's for an assignment at school. Since I am no longer in school, that pretty much means the cause is hopeless.
I graduated high school in 2007, but took an extra semester to try to figure out what I wanted to take at university. I went to university in September 2008 for General Arts, but was in the hospital by the end of October that same year, and consequently had to drop out. Trying to catch up after missing 3 weeks of university classes is an impossible feat. I realized that university had been the main cause of my hospitalization, as it caused excessive amounts of stress in my life. Therefore, I am now back home living with my parents with no intention of going back to school full-time.
I am taking American Sign Language courses at the local college. The second course starts in late September of this year. The classes are only one night a week, which I seem to be able to handle quite well.
These are some things I like: the colour purple. puppies. hippos. candy. cartoons. the sound and smell of rain. the feeling of accomplishment. hugs. music. television. movies. the internet. laughter. babies.
These are some things I dislike: homophobes. labels. the colour pink. religion. close-minded people. Spongebob Squarepants. talking on the phone. my grandparents (on my father's side). insects. spiders.

Though Friday had dawned clear and sunny, by early afternoon the day had turned cloudy and drizzly. The streets were darkened with rainwater, and everything seemed gloomier than usual.1

Some people consider a grown-up to be an adult; someone over a certain age, and at a certain maturity level. I was twelve years old when I became a grown-up. It all happened so quickly, and without much warning. Though Garth

Reaching its branches up, / Swaying in the fresh cool breeze / Making maple syrup / And waving at other trees / Dancing in the moonlight / Putting on a show for all / A sight to see tonight / On this chilly
