Hey, how’s it goin’? If you’ve come across my Author’s Page after reading one of my chapters, I hope you enjoyed!
If you’ve come across this page via another method and you’re tempted to investigate? I hope you like sci-fi, supernatural, romance novels otherwise run while you still can… Just who the hell am I? You can find out more www.facebook.com/onaya3 or I’ll try to summarize as best I can; I’m an addict who gets withdrawal symptoms if a day goes by I haven’t spent time with my fictitious characters.
I'm also a horror junkie; greedily drinking down this genre as I do with my nightly glasses of red wine. This pastime is particularly useful as stress relief when one works in a Call Centre. Of course I’d have to be a geek who loves her Trek
so much so, my former Uni flatmates gave me a Batleth (Klingon sword) as a belated Housewarming present. My username ‘onaya’ actually comes from an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine called ‘The Muse’. The character named Jake Sisko who was a burgeoning writer, met an alien called Onaya. The writers who were lucky (or unlucky) enough to fall under her notice, created their best work thanks to her inspiration however the downside of course, their life spans were cut short as Onaya literally fed off their creativity. Some nights when the clock ticks past 3 AM and my eyes are stinging but I can’t move away from my computer? I can relate!
I feel blessed when a person reads my stories and like what they see. Ask my flatmate, he has witnessed my ‘happy dance’ whilst squealing noises almost pierced his eardrums! My first book called 'Circulate' was published by Eclectica Press www.eclecticapress.cjb.net From this, my sequels move from time travel and hauntings to other elements of the supernatural, like different breeds of Werewolves.
However I’m kind of ‘the more the merrier’ type, so I don’t mind stirring in Wicca, Voodoo, different species of Vampires and visiting alien planets.
Of course being a ‘mad writer’
I am simultaneously completing ten books at once, which are in the ‘Circulate’ series. Here on Storywrite I’ve posted my novel ‘Scent’ as well as its sequels called ‘Sororate’ and ‘Small Fry’. I’m pleased to say that ‘Small Fry’ came third in the 2009 Storywrite Literary Oscars in the category of Best Series. ~ SCENT ~
A delicious tail of a fiery love-hate relationship…at first B can't stand the tribe's sarcastic and most dangerous Werewolf Declan; however those feelings change to a forbidden love.
Bake in Alaska as a sanctuary after World War Three, garnish with European Vampires, other breeds of Werewolves and marauding humans. Serves one. ~~~~~~~~
“Men do not roar. Women roar. They they hurl heavy objects. And claw at you.”
-- “What does the man do?”
“He reads love poetry. He ducks a lot.”
(Worf and Wesley ST:TNG)
~~~~~~~~
~ SORORATE ~
Usually the story ends once the couple marries, but not in this case…Declan and B made ‘dating’ practically an extreme sport.
Their home has undergone numerous repairs every time these two have a lovers tiff or even a romantic night in. If any threat supernatural or otherwise threatens to divide them? Claws do come out in a Werewolf marriage. ~~~~~~~~
“Blood. Pain. Sacrifice. Anguish, and Death.”
-- “Sounds like marriage alright.”
(Worf and Bashir ST: DS9)
~~~~~~~~
~ SMALL FRY ~
Declan loves his wife so much there is nothing he wouldn’t do including murder…through their many years of marriage, B had to live with the stigma of being barren until now.
However Declan knows that this pregnancy would threaten her life. When the couple are a 300 year old European Werewolf and the first female Lokoti Werewolf living in the 24th Century; fireworks aspire to have their chemistry one day. ~~~~~~~~
“The most dangerous animal is a mother protecting her young.”
(Picard to Troi – ST: TNG)

My Writing.Com page www.writing.com/authors/onaya3 holds my entire series of books so far and I’ve also joined Authonomy where I met someone who did the cover of ‘Scent’ for me!
It gives an author a deep sense of satisfaction to see their work start to solidify with a cover so please feel free to take a gander at http://authonomy.com/Profile.aspx?userid=b5e94fcb-eb77-4053-ac79-3944e4fe123bIn league with the ole saying ‘no rest for the wicked’
I’ve joined the Paranormal Times blogging site where I can write all about my favourite supernatural creatures; http://paranormaltimes.co.uk/onaya3/ You may wonder why I don’t show off the series of books in their entirety? This is because of two reasons. The first and fingers crossed (and legs and intestines), I hope to find a Publisher and if conventional methods fail, I will go it alone and self-publish. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I traveled Europe solo on a Contiki tour and had one of the best times of my life
The second is I once had a problem with plagiarism and I was forced to contact the administrators to remove the “copy cats” offence.
So please, no fanfic using my characters either. This may sound peculiar, but it’s happened and it’s a little weird when my sequels aren’t published in book format yet.
Thank you times infinity for the encouraging feedback I receive.
I said this to a couple of friends on this website; you know the saying ‘behind every good man is a good woman’? But change it to, ‘behind every author is a supportive reader’.
During my quest to find an Agent and/ or Publisher, I’ve decided to chronicle my ups and downs on Twitter which is https://twitter.com/onaya3 and if I don’t make for very interesting reading, I’m also following Stephen Fry this method and he usually brings out a smile
