    Hi neji2420;

    My Username is -Syren- and everyone on the site simply calls me Brooke. I would like to welcome you to the StoryWrite web site. Our site is a community of people who all share a common desire to write, in some form or another, and to hopefully become a published author sometime in the future.

    You may notice a gold medal by your name. This is a free trial membership. This shows you what options you have if you were a paid member of Storywrite.com. After one week the membership expires.

    I would also like to take this time to let you know about the new members group on the site. This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens on the site. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group

    Along with a new members group we have a New Members Contest that is held every month. Come and check it out. The contest is open to any subject. http://storywrite.com/contest/2139

    It is recommended that all new members to the site give serious consideration to joining a writing group as a method of assisting them in becoming an active member of the site. It is a place to make new friends and get helpful critiques. I have include below a few quick tips that have proven to be very helpful to new members in doing some of the basic functions necessary to get yourself set-up and running on the site.

    There are some very helpful and entertaining columns on the home page. One in particular is fun things to do around Storywrite http://storywrite.com/column/show/161

    To find all the emoticons http://storywrite.com/column/show/53

    Chatterbox conduct. http://storywrite.com/column/show/57

    Trolls or Cyberbullies http://storywrite.com/column/show/151

    On the right hand side of the page is where you’ll find all you need to edit yours stories, change your user info, change your picture, etc. Thank you for joining the StoryWrite web community. Keep penning.

    Hey, are you a Naruto fan? If so, let me be the first to welcome you to the site! If not, I'll welcome you anyway!

    My name is Aya Uchiha, but most folks call me Chibi. I am probably one of the most prolific Naruto fanfic writers on the site...if that means anything, coming from me. XD If you want to meet some other great people from our Storywrite Konoha, check out these profiles:

    http://storywrite.com/Rekusshi%20Fujiwara

    http://storywrite.com/Kurai%20Yume

    http://storywrite.com/Baka%2Demon

    I think that's a pretty good list...

    Anyway, one of the moderators should be turning up shortly with their standard greeting guestbook comment. Let me beat them to it, and say: If you need any help, I'm almost always around.

    Ja ne!
