This is the stories of Anja Kahn in Chi-Lank, Regina.
Anja is the youngest daughter of an inner circle chairman. That means her life has already been predetermined. She is to marry into an equal family and devote her life to the social happenings of her culture. But Anja has a secret. For five long years, she has been training to be a warrior.
Grayson is an orphan with many brothers. At a young age he ran away to a fighting school. All his life he has fought in the Resistance. The movement to over throw the High Magistrate regime. To him all Upper Circlers are scum; that is until he meets one masquerading as a fighter.
