The stories here are part of, or are inspire by, my work in progress novella "Guardian of the Sky Realms". This, in substance, is the prologue to a great work called "guardian of the sky realms".
This is a poignant moment in the greater story - very near the end. i have reworked it against the planned chapter because i wanted it to stand alone, but in a material sense, this is pretty much the spirit of the chapter.
