I have a friend named Liz. When I asked her to tell me what to write she replied, "Tell them about your wonderful friend who's simply the best and most humble, kind, talented young lady to ever live." so there you go.
Along with Liz, I have my mother who is pretty much crazy, but in a really good way. She's an amazing lady that I hope I can one day live up to. I have my little brother as well...well, what can one say about their little brother?!
I raise Guide Dogs Puppies for the Bilnd ( www.guidedogs.com ) and that takes up a lot of time. I really love to work with the dogs. My first dog (Yamaha) graduated on the 10th of february and my "baby" (Baskin) went to school on the 17th of April to finish up his training. The day Baskin left I recieved my third puppy named Donna. She's the complete opposite of the other two! A yellow lab female...what am I going to do without my pretty black lab boys? I don't know. I suppose it's time for a girl though...
One thing that I love about raising these dogs is the feeling that you get in the end. So many people ask me, "Well, isn't it sad to have to give them back?" The answer for me is "No." I don't feel any remorse when I put the dog back on the truck to leave me forever. The reason is not because I do not love the dog, but quite the opposite. I have had the pleasure of bringing up and loving an animal that will go to do something for a person that will give them a life they couldn't have any other way. I miss the dog, surely, but I cannot say that bettering the life of another human being makes me sad.
Due to medical issues, I'm not in school right now. The puppies help keep my mind working and give me something to think about other than myself, which I need right now because I am not able to go to school. I will instead be doing my senior year online and graduating next year. A little bit of a bummer, but I'd really like to be well first. If you would like to know about my medical condition, please feel free to visit http://curekate.zoomshare.com where you can see how I am doing and what's been done as well!
I'm really involved in music. Usually, I'm in three choirs, my chamber orchestra and a handbell choir. But for now, I'm only in two choirs and a handbell choir. I also take private voice lessons when I know that I'll be able to show up on a fairly regular basis and not have to call in sick all the time. When I'm in orchestra, I play the viola. For those of you who don't know what a viola is...for shame! Look it up becuase it will get you far. I'll be starting up with my private viola lessons again once my nuerologist says it's okay. They don't like me holding my head in a position like that for too long after two surgeries on the back of my head at the top of my neck.
The person who introduced me to this website is none other than Arc who has claimed me for a sister. Can't say that I mind much! At least I have some familly around to torture!!!!
Well, that pretty much sums me up...as well as Liz!

sodancewithsoda : You bio is amazing! =) YOU are amazing! on April 28, 2007I was just randomly browsing user bios and chanced upon yours.. ^_^ you have a heart of gold, and I admire you; I don't think I could do that - raise dogs, live with them, love them, only to have them walk out of my life forever. I guess I'm selfish that way
So yes, I admire you A LOT
I'm glad Arc brought you here.
See you around. -
