Fifth Day 04/21/09

Life has been a host of everything else the last few days. We got the boys room half way painted. My wife freaked out at the immensity of painting until my sister came to the rescue. We want to perserve the ways we measured him on the wall. Particularly the point where he came out taller than mom. Big day for the little man. That was when he was ten.

I am cooking dinner tonight. A turkey and mushroom with wild rice cassorole. One of those things that you can't screw up. Plus asparagas.

Work or where I use to work and I are still dancing around to see if I am going to transfer to another part of the company. I don't know if they are just screwed up or if it is about screwing me out of benefits and workmans comp for as long as possible. Getting tired of the games. But money is money and health benefits are health benefits.

The girls are supposed to be here in eight more days. I think, maybe, I am getting, no may be about it, I am excited.

Glued a chair back together. I fortunately was able to fall off of it when it came apart. So all the dowels are still in one piece. Had to use spreaders to get it the rest of the way apart in all areas. Reglued. Clamped.

I have been writing good poetry at a great rate. Never know what turns the spigot on. Don't know what turns it off. Just thankful when it is running. There is so much I want to say that hides out of reach in my head when ever I start to write this. Oh well.

Well, at least you've been productive. I hope everything turns out well for you, but it seems like things are going smoothly for you--except with the chair. I am sure that the spigot will remain on for a long while, though!

  • Sounds like a busy day for you Sir Tomis...
    You fell off the chair?...lol..ouch.
Sounds as if you taught it a good lesson with the use of spreaders..hehe
While you have the paint and glue out.........jk...

    Many blessings...

earth.I am lacking sleep & am stressed by the daily fight for life the
disabled one I care/look after. Then you realize so many others on this
earth are much worse off than we are.where I live it is lovely. I am
surrounded by trees lots of birds Mountain a few miles away. I then
think I am one of the lucky ones .Love your poetry. Aries

  • AM I only have the wall left in my bed room and a couple of coats on corner bead. Then it will be time for painting. Checked the classifieds and there were five jobs posted. I am going to have to hang out at some of the kitchen design stores and beat my own drum. It is a process and I do believe God shall provide
