I guess I should jump on the bandwagon and add a "Merry Christmas" journal too?

Hey, all. Cool

I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season, whatever the holiday you are celebrating might be. As for myself, I've been in New York City the past week or so, and I just got back into town from Virginia last night. (So apologies for not replying to any messages or whatnot. Also, I know I haven't posted ANYTHING since October. I've been really busy, and I've taken up photography, so I guess I've just been focusing on that more. Sorry. Foot in mouth)

More about NYC, in case you have any interest in my life:

We flew in Sunday morning (the 21st), which also happens to be my sister's 11th birthday (happy birthday, Maggie!). From the plane, we could already see the gorgeous city blanketed with snow peeking through the impossibly thick layer of clouds. As soon as we landed and we walked outside (no jet bridge for us!) I was dancing and twirling around. There was snow! SNOW! It was the most snow I've ever seen in my entire life.

That night went and saw the Rockettes. Nothing against them, I just didn't really enjoy it. It's not my thing, all the flashy dancers and lights. Ehhh. I'd rather see Broadway. (Which we did end up seeing!) We celebrated Maggie's birthday with a cake and pizza in our hotel rooms (it was me, Maggie, Mom & Dad, my grandmother, and my mom's two brothers).

The next morning- Monday- we bundled up in our heaviest coats and set out for Central Park. It was 12 degrees Fahrenheit, and there was a wind chill of ZERO. I've never been so cold in my entire life. (People, I'm from Raleigh. Yesterday, on Christmas, it was like 65 degrees, mmmkay? Haha.) We stayed there most of the day. It was wonderfulllllllll. *twirls around some more, swooning over the snow*

Tuesday was Broadway. We saw The Little Mermaid, and it was phenomenal. I absolutely LOVED it! I love Broadway in general though. I think the best show I've seen is either The Lion King or Phantom. Dude, I wish I could sing. And dance. *sigh* Next summer we're seeing Wicked, and I'm already pumped.

Gosh, you people must be so bored. I apologize. Tongue out But I'm flattered you stuck around to read this.

Wednesday (Christmas eve) was our last day. We went to Central Park in the morning again, ate breakfast, then rushed to the La Guardia to catch our 12:30 flight. We landed in Richmond, VA, then drove back to my grandmother's house in Hampton, where we did fun little family things and la dee la la la.

Sooo, yeah. When I load pictures off my camera I'll post some NY ones. K? K.

***

But yeah. I really miss talking to all you guys. I know I'm really horrible and returning messages and judging contests and writing things and such. *giggles, ashamed* Ahh, well. It'll be my New Year's resolution thing, eh?

*thinks of Erica as she says "eh"*

love always,
sarah.

I've resisted the urge to post a Merry Christmas journal. But I hope you'd a brilliant couple of holiday days and will have a wonderful new year. And snow! I envy you that trip; it sounds fantastic.
