School is pretty standard for me. Since I've moved around a lot, I'm a 'new girl' most of the time. Sometimes I'll get made fun of because I'm not pretty at all, and because I'm what some may call a 'nerd' (but I'd rather be a Nerd than a Dum Dum!) I also used to get teased because of my horrendous fashion sense, but when all you wear is jeans and baggy teeshirts with the occasional sweatshirt, there isn't much to criticize. Also, the fact that I bake and bring the stuff to school to share with people because I like to make sweets, and only rarely do I like to eat them, really, REALLY helps.
I've got all A's. The only B's I ever get in school are in gym, and that hardly counts. I HATE math and science class. I used to be really into science, but my teacher makes it a snore fest! Also, I refuse to cut up a frog. My friend, who is SUPPOSED to be an animal lover, reasons, "they're already dead!" People like this are, to put it frankly, hypocrites.
My friends are pretty cool. Although they aren't perfect, of course, and we disagree about a lot of stuff (particular about things like abortion and gay/lesbian rights), I still think they're awesome. At lunch, we talk about really random things, and often break out into song.
At my school, I was really surprised to find that religion is a big thing. The majority of the students go to church, and their religion really impacts them. That doesn't really make them nice people, but you can sort of tell. Especially since they often talk about it. Religion-wise, I've been all over the place, from Christian to agnostic to atheist. I'm thinking about joining a UU church to see if it's a good fit, but I'm not sure.
We have WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) starting tomorrow. =[ Sucky. I've had to take it every year since I moved here in third grade. It's easy, but extremely tedious work. Next year, we are going to have another test. Possibly a computer test called MAPS. Instead of taking two weeks to take, you can take the MAPS test in about an hour. The better you do as you move along, the more difficult the questions get, so it really measures how smart you are. I hope that becomes the state mandated test, because most schools take it anyways, including mine, and it really is less stress-enducing, plus I think it is more acurate.
Well, enough about school. Enough with writing, too. I plan on going to bed at ten, with the assistance of the sleeping pills I just got, and although I could, in theory, go to bed now seeing as I've showered, changed, and brushed my teeth and everything, there is a certain song I've been itching to write. Maybe I'll share it with you when I'm done.

I graduated high school in 2006. My best school memory is when I won Homecoming Duchess. That was awesome!

Honestly?
I'm glad to hear that you do well in school. I'm glad to hear that you made and have freinds. I hope you continue to do well with everything in life. I'm not in school except the school of hard knocks. I have no good memories of school. Usually when I thought I had a friend they decided I wasn't cool enough to hang out with them or turned their backs on me because of something someone else said no matter what they had thought themsleves or how much I had helped them. I guess sometimes it doesn't matter how good of a friend you try to be. It only matters what someone says about you behind your back. Good luck with everything. I hope you do well in life.
Brian
