So, I was reminded of how precious life is after viewing a tribute video dedicated to a young girl who had passed away in 2008. After I wiped my tears, I started really thinking about how lives can be cut so short, but yet, we treat our own as if it will never end.2
Something that God place on my heart was that even amidst our tears and us trying to answer the question "Why them?", He's still a loving God, in control, with our world in His hands. That even when we are angry with Him and we say we hate Him, He still loves us. And as we are remembering those we have lost and pay tribute to the lasting memories we will have of them, how often is it that we treasure our own?3
I encourage you to live life to the fullest, with an obedience to Christ your focus and your drive for being alive another day. We should give thanks every morning that we still have eyes to see and lungs that work, so that we may enjoy our life and the lives of others, sharing in what God has done in each one of us.4
Even in the broken hearts and broken bones, Jesus is still the Answer. And He is beckoning to us, that we may come and find rest, rest that will calm our fears and ease our anxieties.5

1 Peter 5:6-7 - "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."8
Matthew 11:28-29 - ""Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives." 9
