Help Needed Please! Clickclickclick


I found that I can win a scholarship with poetry.1

1000 - 2000 words.
previously unpublished.2

I haven't been able to write in ages so I don't have time to write anything new, as the deadline is THIS SUNDAY.3

so if anyone has suggestions on what I should submit that'd be appreciated.4

I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to submit more than one BUT each submission costs $205

so I'll stick with one for now.6

but give me ideas please.7

I read the past winners and I think I have a chance.
nothing TOO abstract or personal.
definitely nothing about my parents or with swearing in it.9

alsfkhalkfhalkhsf I'm scared.
I doubt I'd win anything
but it'd be fun to try.10


I kinda feel a bit bad for using poetry to win money. I never wanted it to be that. but I need all the money I can get now >.<11

EDIT: SO I CAN SUBMIT AS MANY POEMS AS I WANT AS LONG AS THE WORD COUNT IS BETWEEN 1000 - 2000 WORDS

    don't doubt yourself mate, you can do anything you want -
    prose is a popular genre lately so that could be a good style to stick with;
    if you don't/can't do too much involving parents or swearing or personal -
    get an idea of the genres in the past ones and see what sparks something within you - you'll be fine
