Time to relax

I had a very hard time lately. Problems piled up, and there was no solution in sight. But, as the saying goes, it can't rain all the time. So after a horrific last few days when everything kind of culminated, my run of bad luck came to an end. Well, it seems that way. 1

Yesterday was a really nice day. First of all, I got tickets for a concert (for my friends and me), and now that they are in my hands I don't have to worry about staying without them. Later that same day, a bunch of my friends came over to my place.2

We used to do that a lot, earlier. But then things got bad with almost all of us, and somehow months passed before we were all together again. I made a kind of a pie, and it was a blast. It was all gone, I coulnd't believe it. We talked, and mostly laughed the entire evening. It was my turn to endure the jokes, and though I usually have a reply to almost everything, I just couldn't beat the six of them, all at the same time. I laughed so hard, I had to beg for mercy - I cried, and choked at the end. 3

I'm blessed with more than good friends. I'm grateful for that. When things go bad, you should call them to come to your place, or you can go to theirs, and then everything looks different. I was very happy, and my heart was at ease for once. 4

One of my girlfriends got a new boyfriend. So we all had to listen how great he is. Not that I mind. The other one is in love, but doesn't admit that. For someone not in love, she does mention him a lot. There was even a bet - how much time will pass until she mentions him again. Five minutes? A minute? It was two minutes mostly. I showed them the tickets, and they had to listen to me talking about my favourite band. There were more than a few jokes about that too. And they will laugh at me at the concert. I told them not to, but it seems that nothing will stop them from doing it. Oh well. 5

We have to do that again, and soon. There's a mandatory horror movie we missed this time, and there's a card game we missed too. And it is mandatory as well. They announced to me that they'll come over for the New Year too. Now, that will be a wild party  6
