Morality, where?

I see that the members in here aren't satisfied without cold, hard historical fact - which is quite arguable but who among us needs fact when moral grounds are irrefutable?
On a first note, I always found it comical when people of different religions argue (note atheism isn't a religion, but a lack of one) because they have the same opposing view of each other. 'You're wrong, I'm right.' But why do Christians not worry about Allah, for they've no proof he's not the one, true god. Vice versa. But Christians are so self-assured that the beliefs of Muslims are absurd, vice versa, etc so how do none of them realize the same for their own religion? Blind faith. How religious people view each others religions is how atheists view all religion. Wrong, wrong, wrong.1

To be Christian is not to loosely pick what she/he believes is true/false from the Bible. To be a true Christian is to accept the whole thing as the word of Christ. So, that being said, Christians must believe that the bible is full of timeless wisdom to spread nothing but love, compassion, understanding and selflessness. Somebody once told me if I don't believe in god, I should at least believe in the morals of religion. To which my response was "What morals?"2

The bible is ridden with immorality for morality is basically happiness or suffering. Simply put, questions of morality apply when another human/species can be affected by our decisions/actions positively or negatively. Now I'm sure people are going to come in here and point out all the 'great' things the bible tells us, sure it may in some places but you must remember what a true Christian is - no picking and choosing - and you cannot state that some things in the bible aren't viciously violent and blatantly IMMORAL. Such as
whenever children get out of line, we should beat them with a rod (Proverbs 13:24, 20:30 and 23:13-14)
and we should kill them if they are shameless enough to talk back (Leviticus 20:9, Deuteronomy 21:18-21, Mark 7:9-13 and Matthew 15:4-7
Also it's okay to stone people to death for a wide variety of things such as worshiping graven images, homosexuality, heresy, aldultery, withcraft, etc.3

The Inquisition. The Bible's contradicting fog made it possible for Christians to 'justify' burning heretics for 500 years, happily listening to them scream in anguish.4

The question of morality when facing slavery has been solved - deemed immoral and unacceptable. But as a Christian following the bible, you must believe that slavery is acceptable
"Ask for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are round about you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their families that are with you, who have been born in your land; and they may be your property. You may make bequeath them to your sons after you, to inherit as a possession forever; you may make slaves of them, but over your brethren the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness. -Leviticus 25:44-46
It's okay to own slaves as long as we don't beat our slaves so severely we injure their eyes or teeth - Exodus 215

You must also believe that a man may sell his daughter as a sex slave
"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed; he shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt faithlessly with her. If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter, If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights. And if he does not do these three things, she shall go out for nothing , without payment of money." -Exodus 21:7-116

"Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling in singleness of heart, as to Christ..." Ephesians 6:57

People have been justifying their impulsive immoral actions with verses from the bible for centuries.8

While the U.S constitution doesn't contain a single mention of god, and is an irreligious document, many Christians believe that America was founded on 'Judao-Christain principles'9

The first 4 commandments have nothing to do with morality, commandments 5 through 9 do but its questionable how many people have been nice to their parents and not committed murder merely and simply because of them. These basic morals are found in every culture throughout recorded history, nothing special about the Bible. It is also a scientific fact that moral emotions precede any exposure to scripture. Studies of primate behavior reveal that these emotions in some form precede humanity itself. Our primate cousins have their own kin and are generally intolerant of deceit, unfaithfulness, theft and murder. Clearly, we do not need a book to tell us what is moral/immoral. Especially when that book is evidently wrong.10

You do not need fact to abstain from religion. You need a critical eye, the one that you seem to point at atheists and say 'I'm going to challenge everything you say.' If you want a challenge, try to convince yourself the bible is a clear key to morality. Good luck, 'cause it simply isn't.11

It is easy for me to say that not only am I an atheist, but I am against religion as a whole, entirely.12

And I'm not a thief, or a murderer, I love my mother and father and I've always been faithful in relationships.13

It must be a miracle, right? .. Wrong.
