Okay, I have just finished watching the Anime "Death Note" and I am ver peeved at the ending. I mean, Light Yagame was obviously smarter than Near ever could be, so why did Near end up with the upper hand? I mean 20 days before he replaced ALL of the pages in the real Notebook? Light totally had Near beaten. Totally. On top of that, Mikumi was stupid enough to go off and get himself caught. Whats up with that? I mean, if Mikumi really looked up to Kira as God, then he should have covered his tracks better. Wouldn't that make sense? He followed Kira's every instruction, but he followed mindlessly which left himself stupid in the end. Also, Nagata should have killed Near, because he really didn't trust either Near, or Light. He should have done something other than sit there while Light is getting blasted full of Bulletholes. And the there's Ryuk. Ryuk fulfilled his promise, yes but he still could have easily written his own name, to allow Light to become the ruler of darkness. I mean, that was Kira's dream, and it all came crashing down, which was a huge dissapointment. Mostly because Kira is the perfect example of politics today. They grow mad with power and then use it against people. Usually the good ones, but Kira was killing the bad people. The ones who hurt others. Wouldn't the world be a better place without evil? And even though Kira is the ultimate evil, he was evil to people who deserved it. I would totally agreem that though Kira was evil, he had good intentions, even if it was to make a new world where he was God. 1

At the end of the Anime, Light was killed by Ryuk because Light asked the shinigami to kill him. Light was under the impression that he would become a shinigami if he died, but the NoteBook explained the went to WU, or nothingness. Neither heaven nor hell. So when light dies, he does go to the Shini world, but he has to relieve all the deaths that he bestowed unto others. Light, yet again, being the brilliant one, uses that fact for his benifit, and decides to become King of the Shinigami. He stays in that world as long as his victims punishments are still going, and Light killed alot of people and was prepared to kill the King of the Shinigami to become king, and fix the broken world the Shini world had become. Light reminds me of Hitler in a lot of senses. I mean when he sees an advantage, he takes it and runs with it. He was powerful in his own right.3

I believe that Light Yagami (Aka Kira) was too smart for Near and had no right to be bested by him. Near was a poor replacement for L and I liked L much better. Anyway, thats my rant, tell me what you think.5
