So Who Reads this Anyway?

I think I'm down to, like, two dedicated readers. So if you read my stuff regularly, leave me a comment saying so. I want to be accurate the next time I make fun of myself for being completely unknown. 1

But anyway, the computers are finally back online. I still lost all of my original manuscripts, but that's what Storywrite is for.2

I'm trying to get back into the novel-writing groove, but after writing short stories nearly all summer, it's not easy. I still need to work on Rush, simply because it should be the next novel to be completed. After that, who knows.3

As far as Rise of the Dormant and <3 are concerned, I have no idea where I'm going with those. I think I have half of <3 Ch.4 written, so I might finish that for the heck of it. Rise of the Dormant will be when I need to write it. I think I told you about Wings of the Goddess last journal. Yeah, I don't know when that's happening. Probably later than sooner.4

I hope my short stories have been entertaining in the meantime. The Elemental series, (Living Water, Tree of Life, Night Light) are all part of a contest series, and all of them have inanimate objects as main characters. The Dragon Kin series is another fun fantasy one, and it even made it on a local news-website. (www.infonortheast.com, look under arts and literature.) It's written in 3 parts, so read them in order. My last new short story is Masque. Also written for a contest, I think its a good thriller.
In other-other news, I've (somewhat) joined the SCA. It's a Renaissance re-enactment type thing. I honestly don't know a whole lot about it, except that I get to fence. With real swords. Scary, huh? I also got a girlfriend. (shocker.) Search for Ariss Rose and read her stuff. She'd appreciate it.5

Umm... I think that's it.6

    Yay you wrote about me!!!

It's wonderful how I'm the last thing you talk about and how it sounds like an after-thought there, love. But oh well I can see how you would forget about me like a grain of sand lost on the tide Sorry couldn't help myself. Thanks for the compliment though.

  • Yup. Ima 16 now. 1 It's a strange feeling. When you're 15, you're still a kid. When you're 16, not so much. Suddenly, Neverland seems like an increasingly better idea. 2 Aside from that, though, my school year has been going strong. I haven't gotten to write much because of cross-country, (don't join that ev

  • Yeah, I know, I know. I promised to write at least a page a day in my last journal. But it's not easy to do when both of your computers crash and you lose all of your book manuscripts and a word program to write with. 1 It's times like these that make me seriously wonder if God is trying to tell me something. If

  • I'm enjoying the warm. I love warm. 1 A week from today, I'll be leaving for summer camp, and won't get back till two weeks from today. After I return, however, I'm going to try to write one page of whatever I feel like writing every day. I want to get a lot done this summer, and I'm going to do it. 2 Of cour

  • Because I am bored. I wish the apocalypse would come just so I would have something moving and colorful to keep my interest. My mind is on the horror genre, though. My old story, Necromance, just doesn't seem scary enough. So, I'm going to slake my thirst for blood and fear with a Left 4 dead fanfic. Not exactly o

  • Well, I just got back from my spring break in Chicago. Although not a lot of my time was actually spent within the city, it was enough to garner a lot of info. Wow, was I off. Chicago wasn't at all how I imagined it. I had more of a New York kind of thing going. Chicago seems to be slightly cleaner than I had

  • Well, I just realized that I've been doing a journal about once a month. Not on purpose, but now I think I'll start doing monthly updates. Yes, for anyone who cares, I'm still alive. I've been slow on writing for a number of reasons that I will list here: 1. I've recently been involved in community theater. The

  • So, I've had two new book ideas within the past few months. Both ideas occurred to me at relatively the same time, I've just taken the few months to mull them over. The first should remind all you gamers out there of Bioshock. If you don't know what that is, look it up. The story, title pending, is about a boy who
