Journal Entry #1

Hmmm. Where do I begin? Ok. Well, my name is Cynthia Jones. I was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, December.8/1972. I was born with fluid on the back of my brain (almost died) and had to be rushed to the hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick. I always got made fun of when I was younger. 1

I just recently lost my Mom. She left me behind, on May.31/2008. She was my best friend. I lost my Dad June.17/2007 (Father's Day). I miss them both so very much. It seems like my world just fell apart right at my feet. What am I supposed to do now? How can I go on living without them? Life isn't fair.2

I have been writing since Jan.3/2002. My first poem happened to be written after Sept.11/2001. It took me a few months to get over what had happened. I have so much poetry penned in the past 7 years. I have old writes, I have left to post in here, but juggling with a family and online friends, getting poetry books published and trying to make some time for myself, everything seems to gang up on me all at once. LOL10

Well, guess what? I'm back in the site and am trying to make time for myself as much as possible.11

I want to thank everyone in advance for supporting me as a poet and leaving such wonderful feedback. I truly appreciate it.12

Today marks a special occasion for me, as I have been writing for exactly 7 years today (Jan.3/2009). Who would have thunk it? (yes, THUNK, is a word. LMAO)13

I will have more poems to come. Just sit back, relax (grab a cup of hot java) and enjoy.14

I met my husband on April.13/1991. We got married August.10/1996. I had my first child, when I was 19 (almost 20). Had my second, when I was 21 (almost 22). Had my third child, when I was 24 (almost 25). I had a 50/50 chance of survival for him. He was my birthday and Christmas present all wrapped up into one tiny gift. I had to have c-sections for all three of them. Had to have a hysterectomy not too long after I had my third child. The dumb ass doctor said it was a blocked bowel. I was misdiagnosed. I miss having babies around. Whenever I look at pictures of them, when they were babies, I cry uncontrollably. 29

I have blond hair, blue eyes, stand at 5' 2", I am around 150 pounds (don't carry it well). LOL 30

I love writing, painting, listening to music, dancing, playing music on my keyboard (wish I was a pro).31

I lost my Dad on June.17/2007 (Father's Day). I lost my Mom May.31/2008. I have been traveling down a rough terrain since both of them passed. I am grateful that I still have one set of grandparents still with me (my Mother's Mom and Dad). If I can keep one promise to both of my parents ... that would be to stay with my writing and never think about quitting. 32

I have tried to quit writing in the past, but always got brought back to it.33

I enjoy working with new styles of poetry and coming up with my own.34

I enjoy taking pictures of my garden flowers and putting my own designs to them. I wish I could put a few in here, but I can't. LOL You can find them through my photobucket link on my page.35
