How to Make the Perfect CD to Win Your Loved One Back

Music is the universal language of love. It does not matter where you are from or what language you speak, everyone understands the message of music. It is the use of music that helps express our massive range of emotions and feelings. Musicians have the ability to express the things we all wish we said. Think of all those bad breakups and arguments with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Was there a better way for things to end, or do you want to win your boyfriend's or girlfriend's heart back? So what better way to convey your true emotions for your love than through the use of song? Here are some steps you must take to make the perfect mix tape to win your loved one back.

  • First, ditch the whole mix tape idea. Tape recorders have been obsolete since the early 90's, so giving your boyfriend or girlfriend a tape is ridiculous in this day of age for technology. A CD is more appropriate for this situation. They are easy to find and are least expensive. A whole rack of blank CDs cost less than twenty dollars at a local Staples superstore. Once you purchase the blank CDs, it is time to sort through your collection of music to find the perfect play-list.

  • An average CD can hold at least eighty minutes of pure musical enjoyment, choosing the perfect songs is very important. When making a mix CD, do not think about your own musical taste. Your Britney Spears loving girlfriend will not appreciate Metallica. And your metal head-banging boyfriend will not appreciate Jack Johnson. It is best to keep things in perspective. Filling a CD with songs your loved one hates will only make him or her believe that you never knew him or her at all. It will also give your boyfriend or girlfriend another reason why you shouldn't be together. However, do consider your taste in music when choosing "your song." Every couple has that one song which can entirely sums up their whole relationship. Your mix CD will not be complete, unless you have that special song.

  • After you sort through your musical collection (and maybe your brother's or sister's), it is time to organize your music into a play-list. You do not want your loved one to think you threw some random songs together just to win his or her heart back. A carefully planned mix CD will make or break your relationship. For the best results, your play-list needs to be in the chronological order of your relationship. It should start with how you first met, your first date, your first kiss, and so on and so forth. Girls, especially, will adore the nostalgic sentimental memories.

  • Once you have completed the arrangement of your play-list, it is time to make a CD! Depending on what music provider you use at home, burning a CD is pretty simple. I will show you how to burn a CD through iTunes music since any PC or Mac is compatible with the provider. After you download the program from the Apple website (free of charge), start setting up your music library. iTunes gives you the chance to buy music through their massive music store, so as to fill up your library with new or old material. But, you also have the choice to take your own CDs and burn them into the library. Or like me, you get the majority of your music from a friendly little provider called Limewire. Anyway, after you download the program it is time to burn your CDs into the library. For multiple CDs, you will have to burn them individually.

  • After you have all of the songs you want in the iTunes library, it is time to burn your loved one's mix tape. First, go to the iTunes library and press the play-list button. It will be shaped as a plus sign. Then, you will go into your library and drag all your songs individually into your play-list. After you have all the songs you want in your play-list, it is time to burn the CD. Place the blank CD in your CD drive and then wait for the burn CD icon to pop up on your computer screen. It only takes a few seconds. After the icon pops up, press "burn a CD." It will have an iTunes icon next to it. Now wait for your mix CD of love to download. Depending on the amount of songs you are burning and the strength of your network connections, the amount of time it takes to burn a CD varies.

  • Now the final step of perfecting your loved one's mix CD: give him or her the mix CD. Why have all your perfectly good time go to waste? Try to sneak the CD into your boyfriend's or girlfriend's locker. Do not be there when they find the secret mix CD. Wait at least twenty-four hours for his or her reaction. It will always be a smile because music is the universal language of love and forgiveness.
