Envy

Vines that wrap themselves around your wrangled heart1

And squeeze out the acidic emotion from within2

The noxious potion spills out of your mind3

And its foul odor spreads to your blood4

And carries itself to your heart5

Blackening it and turning it to coal6

Remnants of the flame that burnt7

With a ferocious intenisty8

This thing concocted by our minds9

So sweet and yet so harsh10
