Highly Upset

So today, June 22, is my best friend's 17th birthday.
I was gonna get her a gift, but she didn't want flowers or jewlery cuz when I buy those things for her, she bawls her eyes out. So I didn't cuz its her birthday, I'll be nicer to her. lol
BUT I decided to bake her a purple cake. Only i decided not to make the cake purple, just the icing. Its her favorite color and I thought she'd get a kick out of that.
My cake is in the process of dying. I got it all mixed and in the oven you know, just like the directions on the stupid box say. And then its starts to like erupt over the sides, less forceful than erupt but its like oozing over the edge and onto the bottom of the stove. So I'm like great! Half the cake it shit, right?
Turns out the top layer, while its baking better than the bottom, is not baking fast enough. The instructions say about 28 mins....its been almost thirty and its still pretty gooey on the inside.
Needless to say I'm highly upset, hehe my title, and I'm so dissappointed. I couldn't get her a gift, so I got her a card and a cake, and the cake isn't turning out right....its just a disaster and I can't do anything except wait for the cake to try and bake. If i can't give her one, I'll feel bad cuz i dont have money to go buy her one, or the time to bake a whole new one. I used all the cake mix XD and we only got it for her.......you see my problem...ugh...
