Hayfever has stolesed my sleep T_T

We're over half a year through the "Credit Crunch".1

I ought to have done this sooner, but how does a nation survive it?2

It's humorously easy:3

Do nothing different.4

Too late for this now of course but so goes.5

Now, think about it. The only people who should be affected by banks collapsing are the stupidly rich and banks (yes, one and the same, but I thought I'd reiterate).6

If everyone had done nothing about it, far less would have come down to the public level.7

You have a job.8

Your job pays you money.9

This money comes from a business.10

A business gets money from you, the people who pay for their services.11

Fantastic. The basics of the economy now established, you are paying your own wage and in the mean time, accumulate stuff. It's pretty cool that part.12

So what happens if you stop buying?13

Well, if you stopped paying yourself, you'd have no pay.14

If you had no pay, you could buy nothing new.15

If you stop buying things, you stop paying yourself.16

So how to survive an economic crisis: Ignore it.17

Too late now of course, people have already stopped their spending.
By stopping spending, jobs can't be paid for.
By losing jobs, people spend even less.
Meaning more jobs are lost.18

And so on.19

Continue your capitalist ways!
Spend, spend spend!20

Keep the wheels of capitalism turning, oiled with the grease of capital.21

For money is of a circular nature.22

If you take away the plants, don't expect bees.
If you take away the bees, don't expect honey.23

Don't you just appreciate flowers?24

I digress.25

As a result of every economic downturn over the past century, the economy has accelerated.
Counter intuitive, I know, but after the crash of '29, the economy grew a whole lot faster. After Black Monday in '87, the economy took a upwards swing.26

So why is this? I suspect it's a combination of things. Firstly, the weeds are pruned, those who've been riding the economy, leeches if you will, drop dead and those who are left, become more cautious.27

So during an economic crisis, as a result of the proletariats not spending, the economy benefits in the long term. At the short term cost of mass job loss.28

Ah, what a world we live in.
Through economic crisis, the rich become richer.
Through war, the rich become richer.
Through rebuilding after the above, the rich become richer still.29

Life as usual. But with fewer of us employed.

  • So I had a couple of dreams last night. 1 The first was quite weird. I was with me Mum at home, then for some reason, she takes my hand, gets out scissors then uses them to flay my hand. Then I run away to find my Dad, holding as much of the skin on as I can with a towel, but it keeps getting loose (though ther
