"Friendship"

I wonder who ever came up with such a retarded word. A word, that barely has a meaning in nowaday's community. Friendship is:2

- A game of hi and by to play with several people at the same time.
- A word with a subjective meaning.
- A way of letting someone know you'll eventually take advantage of that person.
- A horrid way of torturing one's mind.
- A lifetime of regrets and maturing.3

Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth all the pain and effort we put in it, since we barely seem to receive things back. And when we do, it appears it's just never enough. We want more, crave for more. So why don't we just push ourselfs over the edge and put razors to our wrists together with tears in our eyes? What quality does friendship have if all we do is just talk cause we don't have anyone else to talk to? Should we pity the person we do that too, or should we pity ourselfs more? I often wish to call it a day, but quitting isn't how I get around. I guess I'll leave the quitting to you.
