The year was 1988; an icy January frisked a small, fragile town in southern Canada, and a wee babe cried in a hospital, demanding to be fed. Soon this howling lass would be transformed into a spectacularly over-dramatic bio-writer, weaving tales of love, mystery - and above all, fantasy - by the light of her computer screen. Of course, such grand designs can only come with time and, at present, she manages only the poetry and short stories which you find before you, along with extraordinary amounts of engineering homework, and the intoxicating practise of kung-fu. In the spare time she has left, this rather ridiculous writer tends to her various unfinished works of art and her hopeless younger brother.
