OpenWrite Challenges Sector

Introduction:

Welcome to the Openwrite Challenges Sector. This is a place to challenge yourself and others with new story thoughts and ideas. We are not here as a way to amass points, nor are we here for big bang contests. We are here simply to encourage the flow of story ideas to those who want to use them.

Guidelines:

New Challenges start in topics marked clearly with [Challenge] in their title. Other topics don't need a label unless you think it is needed, it is then asked of others to follow suit with the same labeling methods.

- Don't get sidetracked in the challenges topics.

- The challenge topics are for linking to your written story, link to the original topic for that. Anyone wanting to discuss your story should reply to your link if they wish to comment on it or should go to the story's page...this is just to make it easier to follow and will ensure the holder of the challenge gets a notification when you post your link.

- While this group is not built around the point system, we will not stop you for using points to "encourage entries" or "ensure good quality" if you feel you are not getting it. However, if you do use points, we would ask that you keep the amount relatively small as we have noticed that large amounts of points seem to encourage a "contest" atmosphere which we don't want.

- We encourage you to applaud and promote any entries you like. Just remember, most authors prefer a good solid critique to an applaud any day.

Changes to this guideline:

There is rarely such a thing as "set in stone" with us. If you feel anything should be changed, post a topic, label it if you wish, and we'll discuss it.
