I'm a sixty-two year old man from California. I live a fairly reclusive life on fifty acres covered with tall fir, pine and tan oak. (My kids say I'm a hermit) My place is at the edge of the Mendocino National Forest. (900,000+ acres) The nearest town (Pop. 6000) is six miles away on a narrow winding two lane road. Been married a couple of times and now I live with my wonderful wife of twenty-six years, my dog Bernard and two female cats, Bob and Squirt. I have eight children, five girls and three boys ranging in age from 26 to 46. When I'm not writing I'm working around the place. I'm a retired plumber and I hold a third degree black belt in Kajukenbo, kenpo karate.
I like all kinds of music, but hard rock is my fav.
Bands: Zeplin, Alman Bros., Hendrix, Steely Dan, Dylan, Eagles.
Started writing when I retired about four years ago and I'm still looking for my niche. Just started trying to write poetry this year. (2009)

Morning Steve just popped over here to refresh my memory .

Apparently you’ve learned to exist in the same atmosphere kids, pets, and wide-open spaces (I prefer big cities ) that I’m doomed to at present .

Now that we located each other on this site, between us maybe we can cure some of the apathy that infects our groups at times .
